This policy explains what Apex Decks ("we", "us") does with the information you share when you contact us about a project. It applies to this website and to the phone calls, texts and emails that follow from it.

Apex Decks builds decks, porches and railings across Dayton and the Miami Valley.

Information you give us

The only information we hold about you is what you choose to send us. If you call, text or email, that usually means your name, phone number, email address, the address or area where the work would happen, and whatever details you share about the project and your budget. We do not ask for, and do not want, payment card details, Social Security numbers or copies of identification through this site.

The cost estimator and quote checklist

The deck cost estimator and the three quote comparison checklist on this site run entirely in your browser. The sizes, materials and prices you enter are calculated on your own device and are never sent to us or to anyone else. Nothing is stored, and there is no account to create.

Information collected automatically

Like every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested, including the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser type. These logs are used to serve the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults. We do not use them to build a profile of you.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set advertising cookies and does not run third party advertising or behavioural tracking scripts. There is no analytics package, no social pixel and no cross site tracking. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it happens.

How we use your information

To call or write back about the work you asked about, to arrange a site visit, to prepare a written estimate, and to keep a record of jobs quoted and jobs built. That is the whole purpose. We do not use your details for anything unrelated to your project.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not sell your enquiry to lead brokers or home improvement marketplaces. We do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask to join. We do not share your information with anyone except the service providers described below.

Service providers

A small number of providers process information on our behalf so the business can run: the hosting provider that serves this website, the email provider that delivers and stores messages, and the phone or messaging provider that carries calls and texts. They are only allowed to handle your information to provide that service to us. We do not authorise them to use it for their own marketing.

Calls and text messages

If you give us your phone number, you agree that we may call or text you about your project and your estimate. Message and data rates may apply. We keep texts to project updates, scheduling and questions about the work, and you can ask us to stop texting at any time by replying STOP or telling us on the phone. Opting out of texts does not affect your estimate.

How long we keep it

For as long as it takes to quote the work, and afterwards for our own records of jobs quoted and jobs built. If you ask us to delete your details, we will, unless we are required to keep a record of work that was actually carried out, for example for warranty, tax or insurance reasons.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you do not have to give a reason. Just email info@daytoncustomdecks.com or call (326) 339-5578. We will respond within a reasonable time, and we will not charge you for a reasonable request.

Security

We keep the information you send us in the ordinary business systems we use to run the company, and we limit access to the people who need it to quote or build your project. No system is perfect, so if you believe your information has been exposed, tell us and we will deal with it.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging work on their own property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will remove them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated policy applies. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
